Telegram. The Governor of Hong Kong to the Secretary of State

for the Colonies.

(Received Colonial Office 5.15 a.m.21st October 1914).

General Officer Commanding has requested War

Office by telegraph that the defence of the Realm Act

and the regulations thereunder may be applied to the

Colony. I am sending a despatch on the subject and

shall be glad if you will await its arrival.
